PILOTING TEST REPORT
About Piloting Test
PT UWT Indonesia has a Piloting Test unit specifically designed for testing filtration media, currently using ZFM.
This Piloting Test unit is designed to replicate the performance of an actual filtration vessel and can be operated with varying settings depending on the flux to be used.
The main objective is to demonstrate that the ZFM+ media can effectively remove Fe and Mn levels from raw water.

Results Analysis
ph
If the flux (m/h) increases, the pH value becomes less elevated compared to the inlet pH value.
Results Analysis
Iron (FE)
ZFM+ media is capable of producing an outlet concentration below the required maximum level of 0.1 mg/l. However, the primary target is to achieve an Iron (Fe) concentration in the outlet below 0.05 mg/l.
Results Analysis
Manganese (Mn)
ZFM+ media is capable of producing an outlet concentration below the required maximum level of 0.1 mg/l. However, the primary target is to achieve an Manganese (Mn) concentration in the outlet below 0.05 mg/l.
Summary
From several experiments with different fluxes (m/h), a flux of 15 m/h is the design flux that serves as the basis for the actual design conditions.
ZFM+ have been proven to reduce the content of Iron (Fe) and Manganese (Mn), achieving final results of <0.05 mg/l and below the required maximum level of <0.1 mg/l.
ZFM+ produces a slightly higher pH value than the inlet because ZFM+ has oxidation agent properties that can remove Iron (Fe) and Manganese (Mn) from the raw water.
No chemical dosing is required to enhance the performance of ZFM+.
